Crush 40's upcoming world concert tour will use holographic and LED technology to project various Sonic the Hedgehog characters in a multi-million dollar fan-built production, singer Johnny Gioeli said today in an interview with the Sonic Stadium.

"The fans are recreating their interpretation of the [Sonic] characters, and collectively, we are building a brand new theatrical story that ties in the chronology of the Crush 40 songs and games, coupled with the most visually immersive show ever seen in the gaming space live,"
"With audience participation and audience interaction to bring 3D battles alive on stage is nothing short of magnificent, epic and never seen before."

Select songs from the band's discography will be woven through a "brand new theatrical story," backed by a team of fan artists to the characters to life.

Los Angeles, CA will get the premiere show, with more cities to follow later. Gioeli promised in a previous interview that the tour will span multiple cities starting in late 2026, with a $2 million special effects budget.

Some fans are concerned about the concert tour's sprawling ambitions, but the singer said that the tour is "built for the fans, for the fans." Tails' Channel has reached out to Gioeli for comment.

Tickets for the upcoming tour will come in general admission and VIP tiers, with pricing info scheduled to be announced on Sunday.
