Hasbro's Transformers franchise announced a line up of new toys made in collaboration with SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog.
Why it matters: This collaboration, as initially leaked, will merge SEGA's high-speed mascot series with Hasbro's transforming robots.
The details: The titled "Mash-Up Pack" introduces two new figures: Blue Booster, inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, and Wingtail, modelled after Miles 'Tails' Prower.
- Blue Booster converts from robot to car in 27 steps, incorporating a ring shield accessory.
- Wingtail transforms from robot to biplane in 32 steps, featuring a detachable engine thruster that doubles as a blaster.
- Both figures stand at 12.7 centimetres tall (or 5 inches in freedom units) with detailing inspired by the Sonic universe.
The release: The figures will retail for $50 USD, and pre-orders will open to United States residents on 10 December 2024 at 1 pm EDT through Target's website.
- Limited quantities will be made available via Hasbro Pulse, with early access for premium members from 1 to 2 pm EDT.
- Both figures will be released in summer 2025.
