# Oni Mephiles set to debut in Sonic Forces Mobile

SEGA HARDlight has announced the arrival of Oni Mephiles, a new character joining *Sonic Forces: Speed Battle*, during a limited-time event from 28 October to 5 November 2024.

**Why it matters:** This event marks the introduction of a high-powered character with strong acceleration and strength stats (9/10 for both), and a range of new abilities.

- Oni Mephiles will be equipped with a speed stat of 7/10, and and acceleration and strength stat of 9/10.
- Daily Gifts will include 50x cards, while unlocking Tails’ Vault doubles card rewards.

**Key abilities** include Lightning Storm: striking lanes ahead with bolts of lightning; Kanabo Boost: boosts forward while knocking opponents away; and Stalking Onibi: deploys a flame that hinders rivals.

**The big picture:** Bonus Missions will also reward cards for other characters like Dragon Hunter Lancelot, Jester Sonic, and Elf Classic Sonic.
