Quality issues has forced Limited Run Games to again delay the release of the Sonic x Shadow Generations Collectors' Edition, according to an email sent to purchasers late Friday, Tails' Channel News has learned.
Why it matters: For a Collectors' Edition that was originally expected to ship months after the game's launch, the new spring timeline means some fans will receive the product well over several years later.
Limited Run Games has issued a brand new email, delaying the #SonicXShadowGenerations Collector's Edition Statue yet again - this time, to meet their quality standards. In my case, it went from January to March, a 2 extra month delay. #SonicNews

What they're saying: The company informed customers that the estimated shipping window for the Collectors' Edition statue has been revised from mid-January to late March 2026, extending the wait by approximately two months.
- "We know delays can be frustrating," the email read. "One of the items in [the] pre-order didn't meet the quality standards we aim for. We're sourcing a replacement and will ship your pre-order as soon as it's ready."
The big picture: This latest delay follows criticism from fans who received damaged or off-model statues.
- Customers have the option to cancel their preorder or update their details before shipment, Limited Run said.
