# SEGA announces new Sonic the Hedgehog racing game at The Game Awards 2024

SEGA unveiled *Sonic Racing: Crossworlds* at The Game Awards 2024, introducing a new entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog racing series with a unique gameplay mechanic.

**Driving the news:** It's SEGA's latest attempt at a new Sonic racing game, with "the iconic characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe."

- The game will feature a "distinct racing mechanic that promises to transport Sonic racing fans into a new dimension."

**What to watch:** The game will be available on all currently supported Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox platforms at the time of announcement, as well as on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
