# Sonic at the Box Office - Week 13: Third film now at $489 million worldwide total

Paramount's *Sonic the Hedgehog 3* continued its box office run over its 13th weekend, but showed signs of slowing down as it nears the end of its theatrical run. 

**By the numbers:** *Sonic 3* added $78 thousand from 142 theaters, pushing its domestic total to $236 million.

- *Sonic 3* picked up $660 thousand overseas, lifting its international total to $253.3 million and its worldwide total to $489.3 million.

**Between the lines:** Disney's *Mufasa: The Lion King* remained the stronger performer despite also being in its 13th week.

- *Mufasa* earned $1.19 million over the weekend across 1,175 theaters, bringing its domestic total to $252.4 million.
- Internationally, *Mufasa* grossed $461.7 million, bringing its worldwide total to $714.1 million.

**What's next:** It certainly appears that *Mufasa* has a stronger chance of crossing the $750 million mark worldwide, while *Sonic 3* will likely settle just shy of $500 million.
