Paramount's *Sonic the Hedgehog 3* grossed $462 million worldwide, officially surpassing *Pokémon: Detective Pikachu*'s lifetime total of $450 million to become the second highest-grossing video game adaptation of all time.

- *Sonic 3* is now positioned behind the *The Super Mario Movie* with a record-setting $1.3 billion worldwide total.

**Meanwhile**, Disney's *Mufasa: The Lion King* took in $6 million domestically (down -29%), pushing its total to $229 million.
