SEGA has locked in the physical release of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds for Nintendo Switch 2 for 26 March 2026.

Why it matters: The release marks two firsts for SEGA on Nintendo's new hardware: its first $70 USD Switch 2 game, and its first to ship on a full cartridge rather than a game key card.

"Please see the infograph for steps on how to access the Digital Deluxe Edition Content, including the Sonic Prime Character Pack, the Minecraft Pack, SpongeBob SquarePants Pack, and PAC-MAN Pack, with more to come later this year!" (SEGA)

The details: SEGA says the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition includes the full base game on cartridge, ensuring offline access to the core content.

  • Day one physical buyers will also receive the Werehog Pack DLC, provided via a download code upon launch.
