The Sonic Speed Cafe will be making it's way to Chicago, Illinois on 20 Dec 2025.

Customers will be able to enjoy a variety of Sonic-themed food offerings, Speed Cafe exclusive merch, and custom-themed decor, including a mural from Chicago artist Louis de Guzman for a local touch. New additions to the menu include:

  • Knuckles' Smash Fries: French fries topped with smoky beef chili, cheddar cheese, diced onions, and pickled jalapeños.
  • Shadow’s Eclipse Affogato: Espresso with vanilla bean ice cream, topped with strawberry drizzle.
  • Scoop-de-Loop Ice Cream Sandwich: Blue vanilla ice cream in-between two chocolate chip cookies, rolled in “speed dust” cookie crumble.

It'll be located at 1422 North Milwaukee Avenue in the city's West Town community area.

  • This will be the Speed Cafe's sixth location, after previous openings in California, Texas, and Georgia.
