Sonic the Hedgehog news outlet Tails' Channel and comics news aggregator IDWSonicNews today announced the return of the free fan art event marking the franchise's 35th anniversary.
In 35 Days of Sonic, participants create one Sonic-themed drawing per day to post on social media with the hashtag #35DaysSonic. Each day has a prompt, and artists can work in any style or medium, similar in format to Inktober.
No registration is required, and participation is open on all social media platforms. Posts under #35DaysSonic may be signal boosted by the IDWSonicNews and Tails' Channel social channels during the event.

"This year we've extended the prompts to fit the 35th anniversary celebration for Sonic," said IDWSonicNews owner SynMania, who selected and finalized this year's prompts.
"The last two Days of Sonic events succeeded in spreading love for the franchise. This year, we hope to spread more love across the community," he said.
This is the third run of the art event series, after 30 Days of Sonic and 31 Days of Sonic for the franchise's 30th and 31st anniversaries.
