The final episode of Dark Beginnings, the Sonic x Shadow Generations prologue animation, focuses on Shadow the Hedgehog's journey to confront his troubled past.

Accompanied by Rouge and Omega, Shadow infiltrates a G.U.N. military facility in search of answers that lead him to the Space Colony ARK.

Also, the final song in the episode "Without You," was sung by Casey Lee Williams of RWBY fame.
